Intumescent Coatings
Intumescent Paint is a coating applied to primed steelwork that insulates and protects the steel from the effects of heat. It is a thin film coating that when applied protects the steel from structural collapse by maintaining the integrity of the steel. Intumescent Paint, although purposefully manufactured for application by way of airless spray can also be applied by way of brush or roller.

There are varying types of decorative coatings for steelwork, most recently the introduction of high build coatings that negate the need for the old system of ‘undercoat and gloss’. These coatings can be applied in one application achieving the required effect.

We pride ourselves not only in our pro-activeness but also the quality of the work we provide.
Philip started in the industry in 1998 as a National Sales Manager for a previous employer. His has also worked as a director for other employers in the industry prior to forming Premier Site Coatings Ltd with Michael.
Michael started the industry in 2002 as a site installer of boarding and fire stoppings, later progressing to intumescent coatings applicator during his career. Michael has also worked as a director at his previous employer.
Although based in the North East of England we work nationwide. It’s fair to say we do not discriminate where we work.
Working nationwide we have completed many small, medium and large contracts to the satisfaction of our clients, as well as working for other sub-contractors who do not specialise in our area of expertise.
